Lampizator Baltic : DAC
Baltic-1 DAC is in fact a mix of two dacs – first being Amber 3 DAC on steroids, and second – it’s mother – is so called Level 4 – our most sold dac ever from a couple of years ago. We put everything that we could from that legendary design into Baltic.
You get tons of very cool features here, at a price that is almost too good to be true: Big Lampi chassis, double thickness front panel, new engraved rear end, tube based, choke filtered power supply with directly heated dual diode – 5C3S or 5U4G or 274B or GZ37 or 5W4R. The tube section is a very refined SRPP with the legendary 6N6P tube. Our favorite noval tube of all times. We used it for first 5 years of the company, then flirted with many others, only to return to the almighty 6N6P in this unique project. The digital section is shared with GG2 – the 53 Engine with 512 DSD and 760 kHz PCM.
Add Copper Caps, remote controlled preamp section, all metal remote, newest ladder resistor volume boards, balanced circuit, – all in one neat package.
By special request we have a Special Edition variant based on even better tube – Ecc182 Philips
The Baltic project is our attempt on the pinnacle design made with noval tubes. The whole noval tube kingdom is the biggest one, with tens of tube models and thousands of brand / version variations. These tubes today can cost as little as 2 Euro or as much as 500.
Our highest level DACs, in order to surpass the quality of noval tubes by a small margin, had to come from DHT kingdom, but Baltic, a result of our 10 years efforts and experiments and prototyping – push the noval design to absolute limits. It makes the Baltic our highest model with Noval tubes. One could argue that the Baltic is in fact the turbocharged Amber 3 on steroids, but there is more than meets the eye.
This DAC comes in our typical 4 variants: SE, Balanced, SE+Volume, Bal+Volume.
Volume controlled model has a display, remote, auxiliary analog inputs – SE and XLR for other sources like turntables, tuners, reel-to-reel etc
